About the Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst – Wholesale is responsible for the support and analysis of the wholesale channel at TOMS. Core function includes coordinating schedules with major finance and operations business partners to provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting out to the business. The Senior Financial Analyst will also focus on supporting the sales, customer service, operations, and marketing teams within the wholesale channel. Our business thrives with visibility, and this role is crucial to providing a depth of awareness to business trends at TOMS and with retail and distribution partners. Working primarily in Excel, with data from SAP and our BI tool, the Senior Financial Analyst will also support the development of the annual budget, periodic reforecasts, analysis of customer and channel profitability, and other projects as needed. The role reports into the Senior leadership in FP&A.
What You’ll Do:
Assemble major Sales, COGS and SG&A schedules for communication to the business. Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business to provide financial information and guidance to all levels of management.
Assist Senior Director in communication with key business leads. This includes the collection of, as well as dissemination of, data. Know the organization, stay close to the business, be available to support.
In collaboration with the accounting team, support departmental accruals and internal order tracking.
Conceive, develop and produce visual representations of data using Tableau, including charts, infographics, interactives; edit or improve & maintain existing dashboards.
Consult and problem-solve with departmental Business Partners to distill and refine business insights and analysis for publication. Visibility of allowances is a priority (VFMDs, co-op marketing, returns).
Work with IT Infrastructure team for back-end configuration and data organization to provide insight into customer behavior, trends, financials, and TOMS’ business operations through development of BI visuals.
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience in financial forecasting/analysis, consolidation reporting and/or accounting with strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accruals, GL and cost center data analysis (or 4+ years with a MBA)
5+ years of advanced knowledge of Excel, BI and Tableau
Strong partnership and collaborative style with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills especially for an audience who may not possess familiarity with finance as this position works intensely with the greater marketing team
Ability to operate with cross-functional teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment; think strategically, act tactically & command credibility and influence across the organization
Competence in the structure of ERP/Financials and Financial Statement Analysis – SAP Experience a PLUS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred
Experience in retail/fashion industry with ample understanding of wholesale business practices. Footwear experience a plus.
