Overview:

 

As an integral member of the burgeoning TP-Link DTC business, this individual will be contributing to the overall function, look, feel, and experience of the TP-Link Tapo Store.  The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Shopify development experience, a strong design portfolio, and the ability to deliver high-quality work that is deft and aesthetic.  This role involves a mix of 70% coding and 30% design, requiring expertise in Shopify’s Liquid language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize themes, develop new templates, and enhance store functionality. This member will be responsible for making improvements to the overall design on campaign deliverables, product detail pages, product display, emails, digital ads, in addition to the overall site layout and design.  The designer will also collaborate with the DTC team in brainstorming new ideas and ways to provide customers with the best shopping experience and ultimately, fans for life

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role requires a balance of 70% coding expertise and 30% design proficiency to create, customize, and optimize Shopify stores
  • Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify store themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
  • Develop visually compelling layouts, banners, and graphics for product pages, landing pages, and promotional campaigns
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify themes, custom features, and third-party integrations
  • Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to align design strategies with sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement advanced UI features when needed.

 

  • 2+ year experiences as a Shopify Web Designer, Shopify Developer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Shopify’s Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience customizing Shopify themes, building new templates, and optimizing store functionality.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing Shopify projects, including theme modifications and custom-built elements.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Sketch.
  • Ability to create visually stunning designs that align with branding and enhance user experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
