Department Purpose: To equip new and existing team members with skills and knowledge necessary to effectively do their job.
What You Will Do
As Training Manager, you will be responsible for supporting training and development needs for 800+ team members in a variety of roles. Primary areas of focus include collaborating with departments to source, design, and develop new training assets and existing materials. This position reports to the Vice President of Training.

Use the ADDIE model to:
  • Create engaging classes designed to maximize retention among adult learners.
  • Develop training outlines based on knowledge or skill gap analysis.
  • Ensure each training class clearly outlines the objectives, exercises or activities, and media needs within the lesson plan.
  • Assess the efficacy of training through knowledge checks, participant surveys, and other forms of evaluation which measure retention or behavioral changes after the class.
Be proficient in the following subjects:
  • Facilitate both in-person and web-based courses in a dynamic and engaging way.
  • Demonstrate competency when creating in-person, hybrid, or on-demand courses.
  • Effectively source content from online learning libraries such as YouTube or LinkedIn Learning.
  • Skillfully select the best delivery method depending on class objectives.
  • Contribute to the learning library by preparing accurate written assets. Examples include job-aids, job guides, tip sheets, FAQs, flow charts, and step-by-step instructions.
  • Create pre-recorded modules using a variety of tools.
Use the Learning Management System (LMS) to:
  • Organize education, certificates, and activities.
  • Regularly and routinely ensure information in the LMS is up to date.
  • Record participant attendance, test scores, and individual development plans as needed.
Effectively collaborate within CWS by:
  • Identifying training needs based on new initiatives, implementations, company, operational, or departmental objectives, and deficiencies in existing curricula.
  • Regularly reviewing training assets for accuracy.
  • Revising training materials as needed in concert with the Vice President of Training.
  • Working with Property Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities Maintenance, Risk & Safety, and other departments to identify knowledge or skill gaps, learning objectives, and training to address ever-changing needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, not required
  • 3+ years of experience in a training or education role
