Pros

I have been in the apartment industry for almost 14 years and have worked for a few different companies. CWS, by far is my preferred choice in broadening my career development. Although I have only been with the company for 6 months, I have seen and experienced first hand the level of consideration not just for their employees but the residents. The leaders of this company truly are open, honest & sensible.

BRIDGE

At the heart of CWS is our volunteer program, BRIDGE The program was designed to provide employees with the opportunity to give back to their local communities through volunteerism and community involvement. 

 

BRIDGE is employee-directed, affording each employee the opportunity to find their own passion in their community. Whether it is working at your local foodbank or volunteering at your local animal shelter, CWS is here to support you, your cause, and your efforts within the community. CWS donates $20 for each hour of volunteer service you complete, up to 12 hours per year. In 2018, CWS raised $110,595 in philanthropic donations, all 100% employee directed.

Sustainably Healthy- Wellness Program

Living healthy is more than just eating right here at CWS. Our Sustainably Healthy wellness program is designed to support and encourage a long-term healthy lifestyle by providing resources and education around 7 dimensions of wellness: Occupational, Intellectual, Social, Physical, Environmental, Spiritual, and Emotional.

Give your physical wellness some TLC by participating in our monthly exercise hours challenges or boost your intellectual wellness by reading our quarterly wellness newsletters!

We support our employees’ healthy lifestyle by offering fitness bucks of $100 for full time employees. Fitness bucks are to be used for the participation in a wellness related activity which includes race or competition fees, weight management programs, gym memberships, exercise classes, walking/running shoes, and exercise equipment.

New Hire Orientation - Held monthly at our Austin Corporate office, this intensive course serves as an introduction to CWS and familiarizes attendees with the knowledge to perform successfully. This learning experience culminates in a property visit that allows each participant to demonstrate leasing and sales skills covered during the week.

Advanced Sales Workshop – This interactive workshop allows associates to cement the skills introduced in NHO and learn more about key marketing concepts, sales techniques, prospect management, and customer service.

Essential Management Training – Those new to a site-level director role receive specialized training to help them learn and utilize principles, approaches and tools that concentrate on asset and team management. New managers learn about effective performance management techniques, risk management, fundamental HR topics, and budget & financial management.

In-Training Programs - CWS has developed a variety of custom programs to support an associate’s chosen career path. Whether one aspires to become a Leasing Director, Maintenance Director, or Community Director, CWS In-Training programs put career advancement goals within reach.
