EDSI is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented, and caring intern to join our spirited team for
our Adult and Dislocated Worker Training Services. As an intern, you will have the
opportunity to play an active role in workforce development at one of EDSI’s program
offices.
The Training Support Intern will support training staff in outreach and follow up. The
Intern will assist staff with outreach after the customer identifies training as their
interest. The intern will assist in decreasing the time between intake and enrollment.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Welcome customers and aid jobseekers in utilizing the Career Resource Center and
assisting with registration in the system
Assist with Outreach, Intake Review and Follow Up of new customers
Support facilitator in Career Reviews
Assist CASAS Facilitator with administration of CASAS testing and monitoring
Assist customers with navigating CareerLink websites and job search engines
Asist with outreach for recruitment efforts to ensure customers move from intake to
program enrollment based on their needs
Assist staff with outreach to caseload of 75-100 Title I program participants
Support the team as requested
Qualifications:
Required Experience
Ability to be highly organized, detail-oriented, follow deadlines, juggle multiple tasks,
take initiative and manage personal workload
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Passion for helping others
Preferred Education
Four-year undergraduate degree in process or recent college graduate
Length of Internship
The length of the internship is 20-25 hours per week for 10-12 weeks beginning the
second week of May.
