Service Lane Supervisor – Dallas, TX

Transdev Services, Inc. is seeking a Service Lane Supervisor at its transportation facility located at 8998 Senate St in Dallas, TX. The Service Lane Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the service delivery pullout and readiness process is conducted in a way that ensures that vehicles and operators enter revenue service in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for assigning revenue vehicles to to operators replenishing the “ready line” in order to expedite the pullout process.

Responsibilities:

Inspects the revenue fleet and the yard in order to eliminate any potential disruptions during the AM/PM pullout;
Oversees the preparation of the “ready line” for the initial pullout of the AM/PM;
Ensures that the “ready line” remains replenished throughout the pullout process;
Assigns vehicles to operators;
Oversees driver pre-trip inspections and guarantees that vehicles are ready for service;
Works in conjunction with Maintenance Department to determine which vehicles are out of service and which vehicles are pulled from the “ready line” because of mechanical defects;
Controls the utilization of the “spare line”;
Provides information to the Operations and Maintenance team for reporting purposes; and
Other duties as assigned to promote safe and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent;
2+ years’ experience in a safety sensitive environment
Minimum of one year in complementary paratransit operation (can include Maintenance);
Must be able to demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy and possess good judgment;
Must possess ability to lead and motivate employees and promote good employee relations.
Detail-oriented, well organized, and possess effective time management skills.
Must have Operational aptitude particularly as it relates to the requirements of the pullout process and on time performance;
Ability to direct the activities of a cross-functional team;
Must be able to work as a member of the team.
Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customer on all levels and be able to work well with diverse groups.
Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts.

10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
90% of work is accomplished outside in varying temperature and weather conditions; work is performed in an environment with constant noise; exposure to gasses, solvents, oil, fumes, dust; exposure to moving equipment, constant contact with staff and the public.
Frequently stands and walks; ability to sit for up to three hours; walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to lift material weighing over 50 with assistance; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch; and corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication.
