Transportation Dispatcher

POSITION SUMMARY
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the operation and personnel of the day-to-day schedule for drivers. Utilizes departmental and company resources and delegates authority and responsibility to drivers to accomplish functions and tasks listed herein.

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Formulates, recommends, implements, and maintains department organization for personnel and tasks that will enable the department to accomplish its goals and objectives.
? Enforces company policies.
? Implements and maintains ongoing driver schedules based on broker trips, private pay, contracted companies, and driver schedules daily.
? Responsible for providing excellent and professional customer services to brokers, riders, drivers and clients via phone, text, and email.
? Dispatcher will be responsible for de-escalation of correspondence between brokers, riders and or drivers.
? The dispatcher is responsible for being available before and after hours for occasional communication from brokers, riders, drivers.
? Any additional duties assigned by Transportation manager and or COO in the absence of Transportation manager.
