Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT $8,000 Sign-on BonusTrinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist, located at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. You would be responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.What you will do:• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Position Hours:• 40 hours, Day Shifts, rotating wknds/holidaysMinimum Requirements:• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP.
