Senior Java Backend Engineer

Tripadvisor is looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join their remote team. The ideal candidate will lead projects to build product features and modernize the platform. They will be responsible for all aspects of software engineering.

Skills

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of full life cycle development experience
Java-based programs and applications
SQL
Data structures, algorithms, and OO design
Tech lead capacity
Cloud Platform experience (AWS)
Full stack web development with React or similar framework

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of complex technical systems
Mentor junior engineers and promote team success
Design relational databases, microservices, and APIs
Test software and maintain features post-release

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
