Senior Software Engineer - Java Backend

Tripadvisor is looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join their remote team to revolutionize travel by building product features and modernizing their platform. They seek someone with a strong technical background to lead and contribute to complex technical systems.

Skills

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of large scale, full-life cycle development experience
Experience in Java-based programs and applications
Hands-on experience with SQL
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO design
Tech lead experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions
Cloud Platform experience (AWS) and knowledge of some IaC framework
Experience with full-stack web development with React or other JavaScript frameworks

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of complex technical systems
Work closely with stakeholders to define system requirements
Ensure quality of code, troubleshoot complex issues, and own business-critical systems
Mentor junior engineers and promote team success
Responsible for all aspects of software engineering

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
