Team Lead - Engineering (Web platform)

Germany/Spain (remote)

As a Team Lead - Engineering (Web Platforms) at TrustYou, you will be part of our international Engineering team and be located either in Germany or Spain and work remotely. You will be responsible for the overall performance and delivery of the team, career, and people development, and visibility and communication with stakeholders. 

You will be working closely with the Director of Engineering on developing, managing, and empowering up to 8 engineers for creating a productive, fast-paced, and high-quality delivery engineering culture.

• Owning the team’s commitment to delivering results in alignment with business priorities, timelines, and engineering best practices, along with risk management
• Ensuring the visibility of the team’s activities and smooth communication with all the different stakeholders
• Collaborating with the Product Managers and ensuring the quality of the product’s input, building consensus for scope selection and delivery schedules
• Collaborating with team members to establish clear goals and empower them to achieve successful delivery of their tasks
• Taking ownership of keeping the features and products available, stable, and reliable in production
• Providing technical knowledge and foster  the growth of your teammates through supporting knowledge-sharing activities and cross-skilling programs
• Ensuring a positive team experience and understanding each individual’s concerns and needs
• Developing and gathering improvement proposals in terms of ways of working, technology, and tools
• Leading by example and contributing hands-on towards the team’s goals when required

• More than 10 years of extensive professional experience in software development, especially  working with complex systems
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience in people management and leadership roles with engineering teams 
• A solid understanding of software architecture, web platforms and big data technologies
• Aligned with Agile and Lean software development principles
• Implemented engineering best practices and prioritized quality over quantity

• Experienced in leading and/or building SaaS platforms
• Experienced in leading and/or building Data analytics products
• Proficient with Python, Kafka or modern frontend frameworks like React

• Working in a global, divers, and collaborative team
