About the role


We are excited to offer three fantastic internships available in the Paso Robles/Monterey area, where you will gain hands-on experience in the diverse and unique vineyards of the Central Coast. You’ll gain experience in all aspects of viticulture, from valley floor to hillside, across our 3,000 acres spread over 6 distinctive vineyard properties. Few internships can match this breadth of experience, and you’ll be working alongside a dedicated team committed to producing top-quality wines.



As a Viticulture Harvest Intern, you will work alongside the Viticulturist and Assistant Viticulturist. Some of the responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Participate in harvest activities, including collecting phenology data, taking maturity samples, and assisting in crop estimation.
  • Lead soil sampling analysis, water status monitoring, and pest and disease scouting.
  • Use Geographical Information System (GIS) and other agriculture technology to enhance precision farming. 
  • Conduct data analysis for on-going research and other assigned projects.

 

Position starts:  May-July and goes through October, season dependent (flexible start-date).

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $20 to $26 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of the Interior Central Coast of CA, specifically the Paso Robles area. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
