Summary of Job Duties:

The Fulbright College Career Connections team is seeking to hire an intern to work with the college’s Director of Career Initiatives to support the college’s employer relations and career education efforts, including but not limited to program development, event organization and management, presentations, Canva content creation, and internal communications. The intern will have the opportunity to build the following career-ready skills: Professionalism, Leadership, Critical Thinking, Communication, Teamwork, and Perspective Awareness. They will work alongside the Fulbright College Student Success and Inclusive Excellence team, including the Director of Career Initiatives, Assistant Director of Career Counseling and Student Success Initiatives, as well as the Career Influencers.

Work May Include:
• Communication with employers and organizations in preparation for career fairs and events
•Creation of career related content and resources using Canva, Microsoft Power Point, or other relevant software
• Organization of career related content for the college
• Data management, organization, and gathering for career education initiatives • General correspondence with team and university stakeholders by using Outlook, Teams, and LinkedIn or other social media
• Participation in regular SSIE team meetings and one-on-one meetings with Director of Career Initiatives for Social Sciences and Humanities
• Other projects may be assigned, as this internship will be specifically tailored to the strengths and interests of the intern.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Student studying in a Fulbright College discipline

  • Self-starter, organized, disciplined, and collaborative

  • Excellent communication skills, including email communication

  • Come to work with a willingness to work hard and learn

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Writing and editing experience

  • Social media experience

  • Some event promotion and management experience

  • Some project management experience

  • Some employer or alumni relations experience
