Associates who embody our core values fit in well here and we are eager to meet candidates who demonstrate behaviors that align with Trust, Ownership, Growth, Empathy, Teamwork, Heart, Enjoyment, and Relationships.About the Role:Investigate potential fraud internal and external fraud incidents related to the bank and the banks customers.• Partners with store managers, associates and various business lines of the bank to prevent and reduce operational losses.• Conducts investigations to identify internal fraud, customer account fraud transactions, identity theft, and elder abuse. Writes Investigative Reports based on investigation analysis and findings.• Analyzes customer accounts during investigations for fraud.• Interacts with all levels of law enforcement and government agencies, provides loss documentation and digital evidence as requested.• Files reports for cases meeting criteria established by FinCEN.• Reviews system reports for high-risk accounts and internal fraud.• Recommends changes in policies and procedures according to loss trends detected throughout the bank.• Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.• Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.• May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.• Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.• Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.• Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”• May perform other duties as assigned.About You:• H.S. Diploma/GED Bachelor's Degree• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field• Less than 2 years of experience in bank operations and UCC. Required• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within security and loss prevention field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.• Familiarity with Sharepoint, Excel, and Word.• Demonstrates strong written and communication skills.• Ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.Workstyle: Fully onsite.Our Benefits:We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $53,000.00 - $80,340.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
