Job Overview

Programmatic Media Strategist or Senior Programmatic Media Strategist

Do you thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of programmatic digital media buying? Are you down with DSP, CDP, GDPR, DV360, CTV and acronyms not even heard of yet? Do “Early Adopters” come ask you what the next big ad tech is? Are you that perfect mix of left and right brain, bringing data-driven smarts to creative solutions? Sounds like you should be a Senior Programmatic Media Strategist at Colle McVoy. In this role you’ll collaborate with internal, client, and media teams to guide digital media investment strategy and lead digital campaign execution.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with media planning/strategy teams to inform programmatic digital media recommendations
    • Own the programmatic media strategy recommendations by providing tactical and partner input, digital audience insights and sizing by platform, targeting recommendations, planning pricing and other landscape input
    • Understand brand and performance campaigns; experience with retail media networks/shopper preferred
    • Proactively develop POVs on changes to digital media landscape and best practices
  • Programmatic buying & QA
    • Perform “hands on keys” buying within the platform our preferred programmatic partners
    • Execute, optimize and steward programmatic media buys across CTV, OLV, pre-roll video, display, native and DOOH
    • Lead strategy and buying discussions with DSP partners on behalf of clients and in partnership with media strategy teams
    • Provide strategic leadership and facilitate set up of private marketplace deals
    • Manage and QA the workflow of the Assistant Programmatic Media Strategist(s), providing frequent updates to the Associate Programmatic Media Director
  • Facilitate client and media relationships
    • Attend client meetings
    • Responsible for providing campaign insights to clients
    • Provide regular status updates
    • Evaluate opportunities and create Point of View documents
    • Schedule and attend media representative meetings
  • Participates in internal team and agency development
    • Mentor and train assistant media planners on digital buying best practices
    • Develop and present agency training presentations on innovative ideas
    • Attend regular agency education sessions
    • Seek out and attend professional development sessions

Required Skills

  • Yahoo, Viant, Amazon, Trade Desk and/or DV360 DSP experience required
  • Present programmatic strategy/buy recommendations and reporting to clients and/or internal agency team required
  • Experience across brand-building and performance/direct response campaigns
  • Strong understanding of data, data governance, and its applications for building digital media campaigns
  • Experience working with 3rd party marketing/data platforms (Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, etc.) a plus
  • Mastery of basic media resources (MRI Simmons, Nielsen, Kantar, ComScore, etc.)
  • Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to collaborate and prioritize effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Senior role: Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Non-senior role: Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Hands-on programmatic media buying, planning and reporting required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to travel as needed

 

At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness options, agency perks, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
