Position Summary
Making products that are easy to use for customers is core to UniCourts DNA. As a senior product designer for UniCourt, you will be part of the critical team that is shaping UniCourt’s new products and offerings. You will have the rare opportunity to help shape the design direction of early stage products, apply your skills in a dynamic environment and frequently iterate on your vision.
What You’ll Do:
Own, along with your team, a large product area and translate vision, feedback, and ideas into high-quality product designs
Collaborate closely with other designers, engineers, and product managers, as well as marketing, sales, and customer success team members
Work with flexibility and autonomy to identify the most feasible design direction, process, and tools to use depending on project constraints and available data, while maintaining our standards of quality
Design iteratively, from sketches to wireframes to high fidelity, to continually facilitate team alignment on design choices
Build prototypes, design websites, brochures and other marketing assets that help tell the story of our products
Make decisions with awareness of common practices like user research techniques, job stories, agile methodologies, content strategy, prototyping, and experimentation
Regularly participate in or lead feedback and ideation sessions internally and with clients to continuously improve our design practices, frameworks, products, and company
Have a focus on taking initiative, constantly learning, and improving
What You Bring:
Solid experience with the entire product design process, from research and problem discovery through to detailed interaction and visual design
Experience designing solutions that involve creating data views from large amounts of data
Familiarity working within and designing for systems that have a deep integrated technical stack, rather than isolated features.
A user centric, solution driven and methodical approach to problem solving
Strong communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to clearly express ideas, present your point of view, and give kind and direct feedback
The desire to collaborate and prioritize building trusting relationships
Comfort working towards measurable outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability and familiarity working within complex technical constraints
Experience working with AI or ML-based projects
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience working as a product designer.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field preferred.

Have previously launched at least one product from concept to launch, owning all the stages of product design, including user discovery, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, iterative launches and feedback incorporation.

What Success Looks Like:
30 days:
You have a complete understanding of UniCourt’s technology, current product functionality and roadmap.
60 days:
You will independently lead design sessions for UniCourt’s flagship product and can visualize improvements to UniCourt’s core products.
90 days:
You will own UniCourt’s design vision that aligns with our product roadmap, and independently break it down into iterative milestones through your discussions with engineering and product managers.
