Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.The Key Account Manager - Corporate leads a geographic portfolio of the largest Field Sales corporate accounts with the highest revenue, complexity, and high-risk/reward. They're responsible for responding to RFPs, negotiating complex discount agreements, and running program performance. Their primary focus is to increase revenue, share and enhance program profitability through analysis, contract development and account management. Demonstrates exceptional understanding of the customer’s travel patterns, key influencer priorities and travel management practices. They will apply consultative selling and leadership accessibility to build strong, “trust based” relationships within client hierarchy to establish United as a critical strategic business partner. Collaborate with Directors and “C” level executives.Key Responsibilities:• Conducts in depth data analysis, collects market intelligence, and leverages input from multiple collaborators to create unique contractual and non-contractual client solutions that maximize share, profitability, and customer loyalty. Responds to RFPs, conducts high quality account reviews, establishes aggressive but reasonable goals, and consistently monitors and drives goal achievement.• Effectively navigates within the client's organization to build relationships and credibility throughout the management hierarchy and across relevant divisions. Creates and delivers high quality client-facing presentations and acts as a trusted advisor and key business partner.• Coordinates client proposals and agreements with sales colleagues, alliance partners and internal departments to ensure integration and revenue/share maximization• Leverages participation in high-visibility activities such as executive joint calls, client forums, advisory boards, industry, and company sponsored events to communicate our strategic objectives, further enhance relationships and drive customer loyalty.NOTE: This position provides for a remote work arrangement ideally based in Eastern Standard Time. A well-qualified candidate located in the Central United States will also be considered. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table!QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience• 3-5+ years of sales/airline management experience• Foundational understanding of airline sales or travel industry sales• Demonstrated general business insight and financial proficiency• Proficiency in key business computer applications (ex. MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word and Salesforce)• Communication and analytical ability• Passionate, energetic, results orientation• Ability to create and deliver client-facing presentations• Ability to cultivate business partnerships• Travel within assigned territory with periodic travel to other destinations as required for internal and customer meetings• Extensive Travel Required (Up to 50% of the time)• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):• MBA or advanced degree• CTE/GLP• Experience leading or mentoring a team• Experience or knowledge in Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, and Alliances• Strong negotiation skills• Knowledge and user experience of the company's systems and data sources used within Sales• Salesforce/CRM system experience• Ability to quickly learn and leverage digital and social selling toolsThe salary for this position is $91,800 to $134,640, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
