Apply today!Key Responsibilities:The Senior Manager - Digital Compliance will be responsible for the compliance program execution and the governance and compliance of policies and standards as well as external regulatory requirements. The senior manager provides strategy, direction and support to team members and peers to ensure compliance targets and business strategies are implemented and delivered in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements, the company’s risk appetite, emerging privacy legislation, and evolving business practices. The senior manager builds and maintains ongoing relationships with Digital Technology, Cybersecurity, and business partners to identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate solutions to meet cybersecurity and compliance objectives.• Lead and manage compliance related activities such as audits, testing, issue remediation, and supplier coordination related to regulatory, statutory and contract requirements related to SOX, PCI, and other relevant regulatory requirements• Communicate complex information, concepts, and metrics in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and visual means, and tailored to the audience including multiple levels of leadership• Possess and demonstrate strong management, organizational and team leadership skills• Ability to manage and coordinate all aspects of department operation including tactical & strategic planning, staffing, resource allocation, coaching, mentoring, providing direction, delivering reviews, setting objectives, etc.• Define and implement Digital Compliance roadmaps and milestones to support cybersecurity initiatives that are aligned to United’s enterprise goals and strategic plans• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures• Implement continuous improvement on digital compliance related processes and/or procedures• Collaborate with Digital Technology, Business teams and other internal/external partners to build relationships supporting accountabilitiesUnited values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table.QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):• Bachelor's degree required• 9+ years of related experience, including managing a team of various skill levels, experience, and education• Proficient skills in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets• Skilled in communicating with all levels of management (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience)• Skilled at interpreting patterns of noncompliance to determine their impact on levels of risk and/or overall effectiveness of the enterprise’s cybersecurity program• Ability to perform in a dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Public Policy, Information Technology, or related field experience• CISA, CIPT, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM• 12+ years of experience• Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security• Knowledge of security engineering and architecture concepts• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management conceptsUnited Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
