Automation QA Engineer (Python/Mobile)
We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with ambitions to grow into a Lead role and build a team. It is your opportunity to help build an automation project from the ground up, establishing a scalable and effective testing process. In this role, you will work with Android and iOS platforms, automating API and analytics tests to improve product quality. You'll also contribute to testing marketing logic, A/B testing, and work with both document-oriented and relational databases.
- Be responsible for the E2E and backend automation testing system across multiple projects
- Migrate and integrate existing test cases into automation (4000+ cases)
- Create and maintain an automation testing framework from scratch
- Implement automated testing into the development process
- Identify and prioritize test cases for automation
- Write and maintain automated tests for mobile applications, APIs, and web interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve code testability and address defects
- Create and maintain test documentation, including Test Cases, Test Suites, and Test Plans
- Participate in task decomposition and estimate the efforts required for test automation
- Mentor the team on best practices for automated testing
- Review code and ensure adherence to quality standards and coding guidelines
- Analyze business and technical requirements to align testing activities with project goals
- Prepare detailed reports on testing results for stakeholders
- Participate in task planning and product demonstrations
- 4+ years of experience in automation testing
- Commercial experience working with push notifications, sockets, APIs, 3rd-party integrations, in-app purchases (Google/Apple + sandbox)
- Strong proficiency with Python, Pytest, Appium, Appium-Python-Client, Requests OR HTTPx, Allure OR Pytest-html
- Knowledge and practical experience in the full development lifecycle, including debugging, automated testing, deployment, and publication of mobile applications
- High-level expertise and hands-on experience in automating the testing of Android/iOS mobile applications, APIs, and web interfaces
- Experience in testing REST APIs and practical experience in integration testing
- Proficiency in working with Android Studio and Xcode
- Experience with Git/GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Understanding of microservice architecture
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Would be a plus
- Experience with BrowserStack, GitLab Pages, Allure Reporting, UIAutomator2, XCUITest
- Experience in performance testing using commercial or open-source tools (e.g., JMeter, Curl)
- Familiarity with tools like Git/GitLab, Postman, Swagger
