Laboratory Technician

Overview:  

 

Geotechnology, LLC, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager.  The possibility of data reduction and reporting exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing
  • Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order
  • Assists in logging, storage, and disposal of samples
  • Performs other duties as requested


Qualifications:
  • High school degree
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities
  • Ability to effectively use computers
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience
  • Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
  • Required to stand for long periods of time
