UMMC Midtown Campus, one of two campuses of the University of Maryland Medical Center, has had a long history of working to keep our community healthy and has grown to become a trusted teaching hospital for medical and surgical care in Baltimore City.

Located in Baltimore’s cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, UMMC Midtown Campus is a 180-bed, community teaching hospital with a focus on helping people manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary conditions, and infectious diseases.

Job Description

  1. In collaboration with the attending physician, provides day to day organizational and clinical direction and leadership of the healthcare provider team.
  2. Performs comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients admitted/scheduled to service/practice setting. .
  3. Orders, obtains and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests.
  4. Establishes medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings.
  5. Designs, orders and documents appropriate treatment plans/plans of care including prescriptions of medications based on a comprehensive review of HPI and diagnostic results.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science Degree with completion of an appropriate acute care care Nurse Practitioner program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. Certified in area of specialty. DEA and CDS eligible
  • BCLS as required
