If this proof is not provided within this timeframe, the offer may be rescinded or employment terminated.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:The Social Media Manager/Strategist will be charged with developing and implementing social media strategies that align with Maryland Athletics’ overall strategic priorities and guiding principles. The position will be responsible for managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, monitoring social media trends, analyzing data and metrics, and interacting with fans and followers. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate with staff who produce and post social media content. This individual will oversee all social media content, engagement, and campaigns across multiple platforms, with the goal of increasing brand awareness, driving fan engagement, and supporting various revenue generation initiatives.Candidates should have a proven track record of developing successful social media campaigns; demonstrate they are data and analytically driven; can turn insights into actionable strategies; and possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This individual will be the main force behind the department and teams’ social media presence and personality. The ideal candidate should define and drive social strategy, tone, voice, channel guidelines, goals, and audience targets.
