FPM provides facilities services to support academic, clinical, and research spaces, each with its own unique needs and challenges.POSITION SUMMARY:Mail clerks perform general clerical work in support of the US Post Office or a central mailing area in USF Health Facilities. The Mail Clerk is responsible for duties such as metering packages, sorting and processing of mail; completion of various mail projects for a USF Health Facilities; assigning the proper postage and rating to outgoing mail; picking up and distributing of campus mail; making photocopies; filing hard copy documents and maintaining records; and/or running varied errands.RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives incoming mail offload mail cart. Log Registered, Certified, Priority and Express mail. Sort mail into correct MDC mailboxes. Duties may require lifting up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling and pushing or pulling.Has knowledge of USPS rules, charts and scales. Apply postage to outgoing mail with vouchers. Delivers mail to MDC and MDN customer.Performs some clerical duties like filing, mail number reconciliation; Performs clerical function to include filing daily voucher department copies for monthly billing cycles.Functions as backup for the University Mailroom Supervisor and the courier during absences. Courier run utilizes vehicles from HSC fleet. May have to drive to other campuses, including downtown locations. May have to aid mailrooms in other Health USF offices on rare occasions. Assist and act as backup for receiving. Will be required to drive on highways.Assist with some facilities issues and work requests (entering work orders for maintenance issues, light outages, making key requests, etc.).Performs other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM:This position requires a high school diploma. No previous experience required.Valid Florida Driver's license.PREFERRED:Previous mail services experience. Previous delivery or routing experience. Previous shipping and handling experience.
