Salary:Minimum $68,000 ANNUAL (12 months)Depending on QualificationsThe full-time annual salary for this position starts at $68,000.Since this is a 50% position (20 hours per week), this isequivalent to a minimum starting salary of $34,000.Job Summary:The Interdisciplinary Training Program for Predoctoral Research inthe Education Sciences is one of a network of pre-doctoral trainingprograms funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute ofEducation Sciences. The program's goal is to prepare a newgeneration of outstanding education scholars through training inmethods of causal inference and supporting translational researchactivities through internship opportunities. The program seeks tobuild a community of interdisciplinary education scholars through aweekly seminar and other related activities. Fellows and associatedfaculty and researchers come from academic departments ineducation, social work, and across the social sciences. Thecommunity includes doctoral students in economics, politicalscience, psychology, social welfare, sociology, educationalleadership & policy analysis, educational policy studies, andeducational psychology. The project website can be found athttps://itp.wceruw.org/The Graduate Program Manager will manage an interdisciplinarygraduate training program for doctoral students funded by theInstitute of Education Sciences within the United States Departmentof Education. The position involves extensive contact with graduatestudents and faculty from multiple campus units (in the School ofEducation, the College of Letters & Sciences, and the SandraRosenbaum School of Social Work). The position includes bothprogram management duties and grant management duties.Responsibilities: Manages the administrative activities ofgraduate degree program(s) and/or certificate(s). Performsactivities which may include: recruitment, admissions, new studentorientation, academic advising, monitoring of progress towards thedegree, course and/or enrollment management, diversity, equity andinclusion initiatives, funding, course and/or program assessment,and academic program review. May oversee staff and/or graduateprogram functions.• 20% Serves as the expert resource for applicants, currentstudents, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders of an academicprogram• 20% Manages the response, support, and advocacy for graduatestudents while continuously improving the student experience andoverall graduate program• 20% Provides comprehensive advising services promoting graduatestudent success, retention, and degree completion. Advises onprograms, graduate education, and university policies, processes,and procedures. Monitors degree progress and assists students innavigating resources and systems throughout the student lifecyclefrom matriculation to degree completion• 5% Maintains compliance with graduate program(s),school/college, and university requirements and technology systemsrelated to admissions, assessment, academic degreeprogress/requirements, and program review.
