Excellent candidates will have experience with leading people, managing projects or products, and/or a technical background along with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience with partner and stakeholder management.Identity and Access Management (IAM) is within the Application Infrastructure Services department which provides resources for data and identity integration, enterprise content storage, and website and web application development. The Identity and Access Management team acquires, develops, and maintains identity and access systems, products, and tools. This includes designing, planning, developing, operating, and constantly improving our use and implementation of technology.As a member of the Identity and Access Management team, individuals in this position would help implement and promote industry best-practices around identity, access, and end-user experiences with our solutions. The IAM Team & Service Lead is responsible for leadership for enterprise IAM services so a strong sense of ownership and a desire to learn new tools and technology is important. Individuals in this position will have the opportunity to learn while you work as part of a team to support services that are used by students, faculty, staff, researchers and others across the world.Responsibilities:Plans, schedules, and monitors day to day operational, financial, and service delivery activities for complex and strategically significant information technology services. Facilitates customer and stakeholder communications to ensure business requirements are met according to customer needs and requests. May participate in the performance management process for unit employees.• 20% Assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives and unit objectives for complex and strategically significant information technology services• 25% Plans and directs the day-to-day operational activities for service development, implementation, and maintenance of assigned services and projects• 10% Proposes, develops, and implements unit operational policies and procedures to align with unit strategies and objectives• 5% Assists with the development and monitoring of the unit budget• 20% Serves as the primary liaison to service vendors and stakeholders regarding service updates, offerings, issues, and concerns• 20% Act as the team lead - mentoring, coaching, and developing team members; assisting with hiring and onboarding; and advocating for needs and resourcesInstitutional Statement on Diversity:Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. This could include monitoring work and work queues, identifying trends and opportunities, process improvements, root cause analysis, prioritization methods, and other related skill sets.-Experience or certifications with business analysis (BA) and/or project management (PM) of complex systems. This does not need to be a formal experience in a BA or PM role.Preferred Qualifications-Experience leading strategic planning activities and navigating competing stakeholder interests.-Experience leading IT Teams or managing IT Services.-Experience with iterative team practices (e.g. Agile, Lean, DevOps).Work Type:Full Time: 100%This position is eligible for any of the following: 100% remote work; partial remote work; or fully on-site. Remote work requires an approved remote work agreement (RWA) agreement, which is reviewed and approved annually. An RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.Appointment Type, Duration:Ongoing/RenewableSalary:Minimum $80,000 ANNUAL (12 months)Depending on QualificationsStarting salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
