General Summary:

General Summary
The Senior Business Analyst role is primarily responsible for analyzing, understanding and helping to communicate the impact / value of a product to customers as well as to internal stakeholders. They will use their technical and domain expertise to translate data into meaningful insights and work with other teams (e.g., Advanced Analytics and Finance) to help strengthen the business case for ongoing investments. Their work will be accomplished with little to no oversight, and they must exhibit a proficiency with the tools and technical skillsets necessary for their area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data-led storytelling and will bring the right balance between creative and analytical thinking to help position the value (ROI) our products can deliver for our customers. This position will work closely with the business and product teams across the Workforce Wellness Solutions (Expanded Solutions) portfolio, as well as partners within finance, analytics, and other solutions and/or enterprise functions to deliver actionable insights.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct moderately complex data profiling and analysis to evaluate data sources to determine the best source for business / product information
• Understand and estimate the value / ROI our products generate for our customers and define the best artifacts (e.g., ROI calculator) to communicate that value
• Acquire, transform and translate data into actionable dashboards, reports, algorithms, datasets and communication artifacts
• Perform moderately complex statistical analysis and present findings to guide, influence and advise leadership and/or customers
• Collaborate with data engineers to perform data validation and testing activities as appropriate
• Continuously develop and build upon existing in-depth knowledge of the employee benefits industry, company and competitor landscape
• Continuously develop and build upon existing in-depth knowledge of data stored in company databases as well as emerge trends in business / product intelligence technologies
• Works directly with internal customers to refine requirements and validate output to ensure solutions will meet expectations
• Comfortable with ambiguity to adeptly support a growing and evolving product portfolio

Job Specifications

• Bachelors Degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience
• 4+ years experience with demonstrated success in a value estimation, ROI analysis, BI analysis or comparable data analytics related field
• Proficient in analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python)
• Demonstrated expertise with modern BI toolsets (Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis and data modeling concepts
• Proficient in extracting and leveraging data out of data warehouse, transactional databases, object stores & API based environments
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ability to embrace change, adapt to the unexpected, and focus energies, people, and solutions on practical and positive results
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Strong communications skills with the ability to influence others using data and logic
• Ability to effectively mentor others
• Aptitude and drive to learn new technologies and analysis techniques
• Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$73,300.00-$143,300.00
