We are looking for an experienced curriculum writer to develop high school US History curriculum in a workbook format. The project is expected to last about 4-6 months. As a curriculum writer, you will be responsible for developing and designing the curriculum to be used by underserved high school students, creating assessments, creating a supplemental reader, and ensuring that the content meets... the standards and objectives set forth by us.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in curriculum design and development, with a deep understanding of United States History. However, the writer would be able to convert this deep knowledge to well-scaffolded activities designed for alternative students. The candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, meet up to once per week and be able to meet deadlines. Knowledge and use of AI programs such as Chat GPT, GPT 4, or Claude is preferred and encouraged.
To apply for this position, please submit a proposal outlining your experience in curriculum design and development, your understanding of US History, and what makes you the best candidate to design curriculum for alternative, neuro-divergent or academic recovery students. Please include links to any relevant past projects you have completed.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to find a candidate who can help us create an engaging and informative US History curriculum for high school students
