About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Forensic Accountant to join our team. This role involves examining bank transactions to organize, label, and reconstruct financial data accurately. The successful candidate will be crucial in identifying discrepancies, reallocating counter credits, and categorizing income to support financial investigations and legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and review complex bank transactions and financial records.
• Organize and label transactions systematically for easy reference and analysis.
• Reconstruct historical financial data to identify anomalies and fraudulent activities.
• Reallocate counter credits and properly categorize income sources.
• Prepare detailed reports that present findings clearly and concisely, including explanations of discrepancies and anomalies.
• Collaborate with legal teams and provide expert testimony as needed.
• Stay current with the latest regulations and advancements in forensic accounting and financial analysis.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CFE is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in forensic accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and systems, with a strong emphasis on databases and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present complex information in an accessible manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in legal compliance and working with law enforcement agencies.
• Advanced degree in forensic accounting or related fields.
• Experience testifying in court or preparing reports for legal use.
