Project Overview – We need an SEO contractor to execute and manage our SEO efforts.
We utilize the SOCi platform for listings and reputation management. The platform helps at the highest level, and the SOCi team gives us recommendations. However, they do not execute on the recommendations...
We have partnered with a small SEO agency for the past 6 years, but they have had major changes in ownership, leadership and team members over the years and are no longer serving our needs.
Our in-house marketing team is very small, and we do not have SEO expertise in-house.
We have gotten recommendations from the digital team at our private equity owner, and we need someone to execute these recommendations as quickly as possible. Additionally, we would like to have a contractor who can be our “go to” for all things SEO – but first and foremost, this person must be hands-on executing the items that need to be done.
Here is an overview of the items that we would like this person to manage:
1.Remove stale/non-performing blog content. (Recommendation from our private equity owner. We have more details we can share on this, but it needs to be top priority.)
2. Add State/City links to the homepage. (Recommendation from our private equity owner. We have more details we can share on this, but it needs to be top priority.)
3. Set up GA4 and help us with monthly reports, recommendations, etc.
4. Keyword optimization on our 300+ GBPs. (We will provide a prioritized list and the SOCi platform can help us identify future priorities. We know that this is ongoing and that all 300 won’t be done overnight... 😊)
5. Keyword optimizations on our 300+ school location pages. (We will provide a prioritized list and will partner with you to add to the list as time allows. We know that this is ongoing and that all 300 won’t be done overnight... We also are continually acquiring new schools, so there will always be a page ready for optimization.)
6. Help us set our goals – should we shoot for an average rating across all schools for our target keywords? or a specific number of schools ranking for each target keyword? What is realistic progress and how can we stay on top of this and make sure that we do better every month?
7. Optimizing photos on our site to improve load time.
8. Other optimizations to improve load time and site speed, as necessary.
9. Adding new photos to school location pages and GBPs after photo shoots. (We have a backlog that needs to be addressed from previous shoots and will likely do 2-4 shoots per year going forward.)
10. Regular “check-ups” including monitoring performance, reporting, etc. – indexing, crawlability, architecture, security, etc.
a. Report on our performance vs. our competitors.
b. Ensure we are making updates as necessary to stay on top of algorithms.
c. Ensure we stay on top of all necessary updates to improve ranking.
We realize that this is a lot. We are looking for a long-term partner who can work through these items with us and help us prioritize our SEO efforts. We will likely want to connect for an hour every 2 weeks to go over priorities, status, etc.
