SEO Expert - Contract to Hire

About Us: We are on the lookout for a seasoned SEO Expert who brings proven expertise and a keen intuition for navigating the complex landscapes of SEO. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on keeping updated on the latest SEO news and possesses the foresight to strategize future moves effectively. The ideal candidate will have a natural knack for identifying harmful links that could... negatively impact our rankings, as well as the acumen to secure citation links that bolster our online presence. We're looking for people only interested in becoming a member of the team long term. I've had some employees thru upwork for 5-7 years. You must be proactive, sharp, ethical, speak English well, and work on US time. We will not consider anyone who is already putting in 25+ hours per week somewhere else. No one working more than 20 hours currently will be considered. We want this to be your main position, 40-45 hrs per week, without the distraction of taking a new position every month for extra hours. Effectiveness wanes and exhaustion ensues at the 60-hour-per-week level. If you prove yourself to be someone we should consider long-term, this position may lead to admin duties/VA-type work in other areas. Essentially, if you are confident in your abilities. Need little monitoring. Constantly want new projects to work on- this is the job for you- and don't be afraid to offer 7-8.50 per hour if you are sure you will perform. Make it easy on both of us. These are the initial project responsibilities (in addition to various VA work): 1. **Find and Get Rid of Bad Links, Get Good Citation Links:** Look for and remove links that hurt our website's ranking. At the same time, get good citation links that help our website rank higher. 2. **Create Smart SEO Strategies:** Make and use smart SEO plans to get our website to the top spots on search engines like Google. Always think about what we can do next to stay ahead. 3. **Do Detailed Keyword Research:** Search for keywords that people use a lot but aren't too competitive yet. Use the latest SEO news to make our plans even better. 4. **Use Tools to Check How We're Doing:** Use tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush to see how well our SEO efforts are working. Based on the data, change our plans as needed. 5. **Create Reports on Our SEO Work:** Make detailed reports about our SEO work and share them with others in the company. This helps everyone understand how SEO is helping our overall marketing. 6. **Work on Getting Our Website Linked from Other Sites:** Take a creative approach to get other websites to link to ours, which helps improve our ranking. 7. **Work Together with Social Media:** To get the best results, Make sure our SEO work complements the work of the social media and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising teams. 8. **Give Advice on What Content We Should Make:** Suggest ideas for new articles, blogs, or pages that fit with our SEO goals. Everything we do should help us meet our big-picture objectives
