UI/UX Designer - Contract to hire

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate, highly adaptable, and talented UI/UX Designer with 3+ years' experience in a similar role to join our small but driven team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate software UI/UX design and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the product owner and business analyst to design high-quality, intuitive user interfaces for our software solution. • Create a simple yet powerful end-to-end user experience for our users customised to their role. • Integrate data insights throughout the application, dashboards, and reports. • Develop user stories, personas, storyboards, and customer journey maps. • Produce wireframes, prototypes, and demo-ready high-fidelity mock-ups. • Conduct demos of UI prototypes to the product team and key stakeholders to gather feedback and improve the design. • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design and development. • Adapt to changing requirements and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach. • Develop an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experience that provides powerful insights relevant to the user's role. • Ensure a seamless flow between our solution and white-label partner products. • Focus on desktop-first design, with the intention to convert to a mobile application with responsive design. What You Will Bring to the Table: Education and Experience: • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field. • 3+ years' demonstrated experience in a similar role. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Figma is preferred, but experience with other design tools is also valued. • Demonstrated experience with prototyping and user testing methodologies. • Proficiency in working with Slack and the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams. • Experience designing complex, highly integrated solutions. Design Skills: • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with corporate application design. • Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps. • Demonstrated modern and professional design. • Proficiency in rapid digital prototyping, showcasing a deep understanding of design thinking principles. • Strong visual design skills with a good understanding of consistency, intuitive design, typography, color theory, and responsive layout. • Experience in conducting user research and translating findings into design improvements. • Proficiency in shaping end-to-end design journeys. • Understanding of accessibility standards and how to design for all users. Soft Skills: • Fluent in English • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to think critically and creatively to address user needs. • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
