U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Lead Software Engineer (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX. The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products. This position takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code. In addition, this role creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices and consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs. Specific duties include: (1) utilize experience in Java EE design and development and in Microservices/API development using Java; (2) work in Cloud native development in AWS, GCP, or Azure; (3) implement experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, and Spark; (4) write software coding using Java/J2EE (JSP/Servlet/EJB/Spring) technology and integrate with the frontend and backend flow; (5) develop the REST Microservices modules and write the building script using Apache Maven and bundle the package; (6) write the React JS components and Unit test classes along with required Mock objects using Mockito; (7) configure the Apache Tomcat, Docker, and Kubernetes to run the packaged application for each microservices in the Cloud environment; (8) work in Agile, Waterfall, and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies; and (9) work with the following tools and technologies: Java, JSP, Servlet, EJB, JDBC, SpringBoot, Spring framework, AWS, Azure, ReactJS, Mongo DB, Git, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Rancher, Struts, Hibernate, Facebook APIs, Google APIs, Web services (RESTful, SOAP, WSDL, JAXRPC, JAXWS), and XML Beans. Up to 10% of domestic travel required.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience writing software coding using Java/J2EE (JSP/Servlet/EJB/Spring) technology and integrate with the frontend and backend flow.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) developing the REST Microservices modules and writing the building script using Apache Maven and bundle the package; (2) writing the React JS components and Unit test classes along with required Mock objects using Mockito; (3) configuring the Apache Tomcat, Docker, and Kubernetes to run the packaged application for each microservices in the Cloud environment; (4) working in Agile, Waterfall, and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Java, JSP, Servlet, EJB, JDBC, SpringBoot, Spring framework, AWS, Azure, ReactJS, Mongo DB, Git, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Rancher, Struts, Hibernate, Facebook APIs, Google APIs, Web services (RESTful, SOAP, WSDL, JAXRPC, JAXWS), and XML Beans. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Up to 10% of domestic travel required.
