U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Mainframe Engineer (Credit Cards) (multiple positions) in Irving, TX
Essential Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products on credit card systems.
•Create optimal software designs for software using Visio and adhering to best architectural practices.
•Use Agile and DevOps methodologies to ensure incremental deliveries to the business.
•Analyze business systems and processes to maintain and document requirements’ specifications.
•Monitor system operations to detect and address potential issues.
•Redesign existing systems using emerging technologies, allowing for continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Computer Systems Architect, or a related occupation.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must include 1 year of experience with each of the following:
1. Designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining software products;
2. Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles and related programs, including Jira and Confluence;
3. Mainframe processing skills and tools, including COBOL, JCL, and CICS;
4. ICS Application Suite, including Endeavor, Gitlab, IDZ, and Jenkins; and
5. C, C++, DB2, DYL, Java, MQ, Spufi, SQL, and z/OS.
