You will have leadership responsibility for Employer Stop Loss (ESL) Quota Share and Excess business within Medical Reinsurance products and services. Your challenge would be to ensure the optimization of economic growth and profit results while being engaged by multiple accounting bases, including US GAAP and IFRS. You show leadership through your proactiveness and would be energized by various overlapping responsibilities.
About the Role
You would be working closely with everyone on your team, a group of senior actuaries, underwriters, and account managers. This includes joining forces with other functions and departments like claims and operations, technical accounting, business services, and other product experts.
Critical responsibilities include business origination, service delivery in accordance with client behavioral segmentation, business and strategic planning, risk management and compliance controls.

Managing ESL portfolio to maintain and further achieve profitable growth
Developing new business solutions and opportunities for the ESL Market
Developing and maintaining dialogue with client key decision makers and key reinsurance intermediaries
Driving consistent improvement of both Swiss Re market profile and client satisfaction/loyalty
Enhancing business relationships by delivering high quality service and value adds

Essentials
10 years of practice in insurance, reinsurance with a deep knowledge of the Employer Stop Loss market and an outlook for key trends, challenges, opportunities, ideally with P&L responsibilities
Experience in originating new business and maintaining client relationships
Direct management of staff and high-level projects
Excellent sales, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills; executive presence
Nice to Have
Knowledge of other products, e.g., Managed Care business experience
Experience within various disciplines (e.g., actuarial, underwriting, sales, finance)
IFRS experience preferred
For Armonk, NY and NY City, the estimated base salary range for this position is $143,000 to $256,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
