User Acceptance Testing / Operations Support Manager

Job Summary:
The User Acceptance Testing / Operations Support manager is accountable for planning and management of the User Acceptance Testing. UAT resources are aligned with agile product teams to write and deliver test plans, acceptance test cases, test scripts and their execution. In addition, the manager will oversee Tier 2 production support and production issue management through daily customer system and process issue resolution, troubleshooting, and data maintenance. Ensuring activities undertaken in performing the responsibilities of this position comply with all state and regulatory requirements. The manager is also responsible for the hiring, development, training, and performance evaluation of all direct reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
User Acceptance
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes.
  • Accountable for the creation and execution of test plans and acceptance test criteria across the agile software development teams.
  • Protect production operations from disruption due to system issues from software defects.
  • Provide 'business perspective’ input for Epics, Features, Stories to ensure software enhancements align with business needs.
  • Review of user stories, business requirements and functional requirements, identifying gaps and formation of test scripts based on regulatory and business needs.
  • Ensure ‘business perspective’ testing is thorough and includes documented test scenarios from a business process and business content perspective.
  • Responsible for defect tracking and appropriate resolution.
  • Establish a UAT scoreboard to track resource utilization, production defects/stability.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria.
  • Communicate status to management and stakeholders as necessary through summary reports.
  • Ability to work after hours for production releases as needed.
Operation Support
  • Work closely with the business operators (Field, Central Ops, Servicing) to resolve production issues impacting production operations.
  • Provide operational support in the form of researching, developing, and communicating solutions by effectively gathering, compiling, and reviewing information and data, evaluating existing systems and procedures, identifying alternate courses of actions, developing tools and/or improvements.
  • Providing timely communication on updates/status of production issues to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with ISD and business stakeholders the efforts to address issues impacting production backlog.
  • Manage Ops Support team to respond timely to Tier 2 production tickets from production users.
  • Manage the Ops Support scoreboard with service level objectives demonstrating team performance responding to the needs of Production Operations
  • Review and approve Sarbanes Oxley System Security Audits
  • Loan/state/regulatory audit support and action plan execution

  • Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent
  • Delegates work according to employee’s abilities and skills
  • Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance
  • Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities
  • Creates opportunities for employee growth
  • Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)

Required Experience:
  • Previous experience in the mortgage industry desired
  • 3-5 years of prior Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated success in executing changes and initiatives and achieving successful results
  • Accurate and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in writing manual test cases/scripts, automated testing software products, SQL, and/or reports desired
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to quickly adapt to changes
  • Ability to work independently and the knowledge as to when seek guidance
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
Salary Range: $110,00 to $125,000 annually depending upon experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
This position is located in Englewood, CO south of Denver.
