The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking qualified candidates to join our excellent faculty team. This is a great opportunity to join a state-of-the-art Behavioral Sciences Campus with 2 psychiatric hospitals serving 500 beds total, and 29 clinics and throughout the local Houston area. Located in the heart of the largest medical center in the nation, we have a vigorous research enterprise and multiple educational programs including a large residency program, child and adolescent fellowship, psychology interns, and more. Our robust collegial atmosphere fosters collaboration and teamwork! The position would assist to provide exceptional teaching and supervisory opportunities to residents and medical students as a key training site for the McGovern Medical School, and soon to our NEW School of Behavioral Health Sciences, opening in the fall of 2025.Outpatient Psychiatrist (Child Psychiatry)We seek to recruit a child psychiatrist for a full-time outpatient faculty position at our community-based, integrated care clinic, UT Physicians Multispecialty – The Heights.Qualifications:• M.D. or equivalent degree.• Licensed or license eligible in the State of Texas.• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.• Experience or interest in research and/or education is preferred.Depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and credentials, faculty appointments at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor will be offered.
