SUMMARY: Provides tactical direction to the Manufacturing units (Utilities and Wastewater Treatment Facilities), personnel to meet facility operation to plan commitments and achieve targets for safety/health/environment, production capability, cost, and quality. Key liaison for coordination and communication within and across the operations team and support functions. The Utilities & WWT Engineer is also responsible for meeting production plans to meet on-time delivery of customer needs. Also, will drive manufacturing excellence and support EHS and capital goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows, participates in, supports, and/or leads Core Values, including Safety, Occupational Health (OH), Environmental, Ethics Compliance; Process Safety Management (PSM), Contamination Prevention (CP) and/or Quality System (International Standard for Organization (ISO 9000)) requirements, such as elements champion, committee leader/member, incident investigations, audits, Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), generating procedures including tracking and completing related action items.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of chemical /mechanical /electrical engineering and/or chemistry concepts including, mass & heat transfer, fluid dynamics, distillation, scaled up processes and emissions control or equivalent experience in chemical manufacturing. Demonstrated knowledge of FMC Core's Values, including Safety, Occupational Health (OH), Environmental, Ethics Compliance and Respectful Workplace; Process Safety Management (PSM), Contamination Prevention (CP) and Quality System (International Standard for Organization (ISO 9000)) guidelines, standards, and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance work management process steps to effectively plan, schedule and scope work.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral forms including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, P&IDs, diagrams, and work order printouts to effectively plan maintenance tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to prioritize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to communicate both in English and Spanish (oral and written).
Knowledge of Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to continuously improve the operation.
Knowledge of emergency response team requirements/protocols to effectively respond to Site emergencies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B.S degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Knowledge and experience with FACI Computer Systems such as SAP, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, SIMS, Espiral, among others. Demonstrated skills to complete work independently, on time and through influence. Good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of chemical process operations as documented in area specific qualifications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fully bilingual - Spanish/English. Communication – good written and verbal communication is very essential.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical operation to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITIES: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
