Utility Housekeeper

Housekeeper (Full-Time) Effective June 1 the hourly rate increases to $16.75 an hour.

Bryn Mawr College is seeking full-time Housekeepers for the following shifts: 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some weekend work is required.

This position provides housekeeping services for our residential, academic, and administrative buildings. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Daily trash and recycling collection and cleaning receptacles.
• Cleaning restrooms, pantries, laundry rooms, offices, classrooms, lounges, and corridors.
• Cleaning all surfaces including fixtures, water fountains, walls, floors, furniture, and vents.
• Dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning carpets.
• Cleaning interior and exterior building windows.
• Moving furniture and assisting with event set-ups when called upon.
• Changing light bulbs.
• Responsible for snow/ice removal.
• Considered essential personnel for bad weather and emergencies.

Excellent customer service skills are required. Previous experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
