As the Partner Learning & Development  Manager, you’ll create and deliver outstanding development experiences for our Partner Network. This is an exciting opportunity to work with  a community of highly engaged independent business owners, bursting with entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll lead a team to create and deploy an engaging digital training strategy to this unique audience of ambitious self-starters. Equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to achieve their goals. 

To be successful you’ll fully understand the world of our Partners and the UW business priorities. You’ll be confident leaning into the Partner Community expertise and balance the requirements of internal UW stakeholders. Ultimately the role is about personal growth for the partners to enable them to grow their own businesses and as a result deliver growth for UW.  

Here's some of the key experience, skills and competencies we're looking for you to bring:

  • Learning & Development Expertise-  You'll have proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning programmes with a strong understanding of digital learning platforms and experience creating engaging e-learning content. You'll need to have the ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create impactful training.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management- Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align learning initiatives with business priorities. You'll be confident in engaging with a highly motivated, independent workforce, such as business owners, or self-employed professionals.
  • Strategic Thinking & Data-Driven Approach- Experience in using data and feedback to shape learning strategies and measure effectiveness. You'll demonstrate the ability to prioritise and adapt training solutions to meet both business needs and individual learning styles.
  • A commercial mindset—You understand how development drives business growth and supports overall company objectives.
  • Leadership & Team Development-  Previous experience in leading and managing a small team, providing coaching and direction. You'll be comfortable empowering and developing others, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Passionate about learning & development—you love creating training experiences that make a real impact.
  • Digitally savvy—you know how to build engaging digital learning experiences across multiple platforms.
  • Strong communicator & relationship-builder—You can engage, influence, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and to present ideas clearly, persuasively, and with credibility.
  • Energetic & adaptable—You thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy tackling new challenges.

The following things would be amazing for you to bring, but not essential:

  • Experience in a direct sales, network marketing, or partner-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with coaching methodologies and supporting self-employed individuals.
  • Knowledge of learning technologies, LMS platforms, and digital learning trends

This role reports to the Head of Partner Engagement, joining a team focused on engaging and delivering impactful experiences for our Partners. You'll manage a Learning Content Consultant and Partner Training Operations Lead.

You'll be expected to be active and visible within the Partner network, building great relationships with our most senior Partners and working with them to design and deliver exceptional learning experiences.

Building relationships and high-performing teams:

  • Leading a small team you’ll be responsible for a Learning Content Consultant and a Partner Training Operations Lead, empowering them to deliver best-in-class training experiences.
  • Spend time immersing yourself in the Partner Community—asking questions, listening, and learning to shape the right learning strategy.
  • Build strong partnerships with key UW stakeholders, including regional leaders and the Partner senior leadership team.

 Shaping the Digital Learning Experience:

  • You’ll create a development strategy to grow and upskill our partner community that balances the needs of the business and the uniqueness of the network. 
  • Design, develop, and implement digital learning across multiple platforms, ensuring all training aligns with key business and learning outcomes.
  • Identify training needs within our Partner Network and translate them into impactful digital learning experiences.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve training effectiveness, analysing feedback, trends, and business priorities.

Driving Quality & Consistency

  • Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and high quality of all online and live training content.
  • Maintain and update the Partner Portal with essential learning materials and feature updates.
  • Set and uphold clear standards for Partner Trainers, ensuring consistency in training delivery.

Creating High-Impact Learning Events

  • Develop agendas and content for Partner Leadership Development Programmes, Leader Days, and contribute towards major Partner events (Power Up & Amplify).
  • Organise and lead Partner Trainer Days to ensure continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with Regional Leaders to support their training and leadership needs.
