Assistant ControllerFlower Mound, TX$140k-150k DOEOne of Vaco's publicly traded clients is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SEC and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and internal controls.Responsibilities:• Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Q and 10-K.• Manage the financial close process, including reporting and reconciliations.• Coordinate and support financial audits and regulatory reviews.• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.• Communicate effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.Qualifications:• Extensive experience in financial reporting and SEC compliance.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.• Proven track record with SEC filings and financial statements.• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and GAAP.• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.• Familiarity with major ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Vaco provides expert consulting, permanent placement, executive search, managed services, and strategic staffing solutions for companies worldwide, specializing in accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, and more.
