Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with a strong emphasis on technical accounting, ERP systems, and inventory management.Responsibilities:• Perform thorough reconciliations, ensuring all entries are accurate and backed by proper documentation.• Manage cost and inventory accounting, with a deep understanding of warehousing and cost principles.• Ensure inventory ties to the trial balance, with a strong grasp of reserves, inventory shrink/losses, and other key accounting areas.• Utilize ERP systems effectively to manage and report on cost and inventory data.• Take charge of developing and implementing cost accounting processes and procedures from scratch.• Conduct detailed inventory reporting at month-end, including return analysis and final costing for bills of materials.• Regularly audit inventory, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate valuation in compliance with GAAP.Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a focus on reconciliations, cost accounting, and inventory management.• Experience with ERP systems, with the ability to adapt to new technology and systems quickly.• Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with sumifs, lookups, pivot tables, etc.
