Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications on the IBM AS/400 system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to AS/400 development.
- Document technical specifications and user guides for software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, specifically with IBM AS/400 systems.
- Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with database management systems such as DB2.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
