Senior Software Engineer, Backend
Vannevar Labs, a growth startup, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and refine data processing applications supporting defense missions. The ideal candidate will be innovative, empathetic towards users, and eager to make impactful contributions.
Skills
- Experience with Python
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with data scraping or willingness to learn
- Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions for scraping data from various online sources
- Ideate and implement software solutions in collaboration with mission teams
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Develop and manage databases and applications
- Write effective APIs
- Test software for responsiveness and efficiency
- Write technical documentation
- Collaborate with analysts to enhance software
