The Designer will work closely with Marketing leadership to create engaging, informative, and inspirational visual storytelling pieces, in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will be proficient in current design software and skilled in every step of the design process, from... concept to final deliverable.This will be a full-time, exempt position located onsite at our Long Beach location.You must submit a portfolio to be considered .Responsibilities:Develop assets that are engaging, informative and inspirational, communicate our capabilities and products, and align with our established brand identityYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development and engineering to collect ideas and convert them into designs that connect with our world-wide partners and customers, including commercial astronauts and industry partnersManage design process from concept through deliverablesManage projects and collaboration with outside vendors / freelancersProduce visually appealing documentation for customer deliverables in Adobe, Microsoft and Google Suite productsDevelop high-quality print materials for brochures, trade show materials, etcDevelop high-quality multi-media assets for social, web, and other digital marketing outletsAssist in one off executions for merchandise, events, VIP gifts, and other unique itemsManaging competing timelines for multiple projects at any given timeMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or other related field4+ years of design experienceUnderstanding of marketing concepts and design principlesExperience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, After Effects, Google Suite, PowerPointDemonstrated multidisciplinary design experienceTypographyGraphic DesignIllustrationDigital/Social layoutsEffective communication and time management skillsPreferred Skills & Experience:Strong critical thinking and storytelling skillsMotion Graphics expertise for infographics, social and video graphicsUX/UI and Web skillsSelf-motivated and creative solutions-focused mentalityAbility to thrive in a startup environment with the ingenuity to define and implement efficient processes for effective work execution in a matrixed cross-functional environmentPassion for the space industry and changing “business-as-usual” paradigms.Additional Requirements:Ability to travel up to 10% of the timeWillingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestonesPay Range:Designer Level II: $94,200 - $131,400Designer Level III: $122,700 - $166,000COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
