Job Purpose:
The Senior Sales Manager will represent Vego Garden and its products, develop and implement sales strategies in the wholesale space, and expand consumer reach on the market. The Senior Sales Manager will make an impact on our growing Retail business unit, with a focus on managing and growing Vego’s partnerships within National Retail, Independent Retail & Distributor Accounts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Track and analyze market trends to identify opportunities, threats, and competitive landscape to form an appropriate sales strategy.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute a strategic sales plan for DTC and eCommerce spaces that will expand the Company's customer base, achieve revenue goals, and continuously push market boundaries. Participate in trade shows to showcase and promote Vego Garden products. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across product assortment, planogram strategy, distribution, and merchandising.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze sales data, create sales forecasts and report on the profitability of product lines. Participate in weekly management meetings and present updates on performance and progress toward goals. Monitor consumer behavior to determine the focus of sales efforts.
- Customer Relationship Management: Generate leads, establish and maintain strong and meaningful business relationships with key representatives of wholesalers and retailers, addressing their needs and concerns. Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, finance, and other departments to align strategies and optimize sales efforts. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to determine appropriate discount rates or special pricing plans.
- Conflict Resolution: Address any issues or conflicts within the team or with customers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, train, and mentor sales staff, fostering a high-performing team environment. Provide ongoing training to the sales team to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills. Develop incentive programs to motivate the sales team and recognize top performers.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all sales practices comply with company policies, ethical and legal standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience managing sales in the consumer products space.
- Experience working at a DTC company in the past is a plus.
- Working business relationships with large national wholesale accounts, such as Costco, is a huge plus.
- A deep understanding of the gardening industry is a plus.
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite, Fresh Sales, and Zoom Info is a plus.
- Analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
Physical Demands:
This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. unassisted with the occasional squat, stoop, bend at the waist, or turn at the waist. Job Location and Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
- 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
- Monday through Friday.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
- The salary range is $100,000 - $140,000.
