Vendelux is a Series A SaaS company and we provide the system of record for event marketing. Our software platform provides proprietary insights that helps high-growth companies find the highest ROI events, conferences and trade shows to attend and sponsor. We have built an AI-powered platform that customers describe as an event marketer’s dream.
Vendelux was founded in 2021, and our recent $14 million Series A was led by First Mark, who have invested in other companies like Shopify, Pinterest, Discord, Airbnb, Draft Kings, Carta and Justworks (amongst others). Our leadership team includes alumni from Shutterstock, Bain, Google, Parsley and Compass.
This critical role is responsible for sourcing, managing, structuring, negotiating, and closing partnerships with leading event organizers in the global events ecosystem. You will work with a cross-functional group including leadership, customer success and data to structure and form fit each partnership. This role requires a balance of creative deal making and a deep understanding of our business strategy to identify and close opportunities aligned with our long-term interests.
Scope of Responsibilities
This role will lead our efforts in identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships and client relationships
This role requires a combination of strategic planning, market analysis, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the innovation landscape
Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for business growth, including market analysis, partnership opportunities, and new client acquisition
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning our solutions accordingly
Proposal Development and Presentation: Oversee the creation of compelling business proposals, and present them effectively to potential clients and partners
Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations of complex deals, ensuring favorable terms for our company while maintaining strong relationships with partners
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align business development strategies with overall company objectives
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years experience in building and managing impactful partnership strategies in B2B SaaS.
Strong negotiation skills, with a history of closing high-value partnership deals.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable plans.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Adaptable and agile, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.
Experience working at Series A to C startups.
