Veolia and the City of Winnipeg entered in a 30-year Program Agreement in 2011. Part of Veolia’s role is to provide support services for capital projects within the Winnipeg Sewage Treatment Program (WSTP). The Interface Manager will be a part of a diverse team of both Veolia and City of Winnipeg employees (the Program Team) to assist in delivery of three (3) major projects worth approximately $3 billion dollars. The Interface Manager will work out of the City of Winnipeg Waste and Waste Engineering Department (1199 Pacific) and at the North End Sewage Treatment Plant (NEWPCC).
Under the general direction of the Program Leader, the Interface Manager is responsible for assisting in the management and delivery of critical major capital projects required to upgrade the City of Winnipeg’s three (3) sewage treatment plants to meet Provincial effluent license limits and the Water Protection Act. This position focuses on the interfacing of three (3) critical projects at the NEWPCC which are individually valued at over $500 million, are fast-paced, highly complex, involve significant risk, and are public-facing. These projects are delivered using alternative procurement methods and require specialized knowledge and experience for successful delivery.

Work Environmnent:
Permanent position, offered on a full-time basis, from Monday to Friday.
Site/office work environment with the ability to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.
Possible Work Hazards:
Must take care in moving or lifting office supplies. Exposure to industrial and construction plant hazards including excavations, noise, heavy equipment, fumes and chemicals.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
