Are you ready to make a difference this summer? The Vera Institute of Justice in New Orleans is excited to welcome a dedicated Summer 2025 Research Intern to our team. At Vera, our mission is rooted in transforming the criminal legal and immigration systems, ensuring justice is accessible to all. As a Research Intern, you’ll be part of a dynamic movement that started in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina, focusing on real change within Louisiana's systems. In this part-time role, you will collaborate closely with our Senior Research Associate and other staff members on vital projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting mixed methods research projects, organizing datasets, and engaging with community partners. This internship provides an incredible opportunity to enhance your applied social justice research skills while gaining first-hand experience in the local criminal legal landscape. Plus, you'll build a strong foundation in advocacy, as you'll prepare crucial data to inform our public policy initiatives. We’re looking for someone currently enrolled in a graduate program who is passionate about social justice, has an eye for detail, and can communicate effectively with diverse groups. If you’re ready to dive into a meaningful role with Vera, helping create reformative pathways for justice in New Orleans and Louisiana, we encourage you to apply!
