Analytics Engineer

Veriff both generates and consumes significant amounts of data, which drives business decisions at every level. As an Analytics Engineer on the Data Engineering team, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand the processes they want to measure and create scalable, efficient models for them. You'll be the expert in optimizing query performance in the data warehouse and the authority on data modeling best practices. Your role will be crucial in unlocking the potential of our data by developing pipelines that prepare raw data for analysis by data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders. You’ll have the chance to work with large, complex data sets and significantly influence the evolution of our analytics engineering processes and standards. 

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders and analysts to design, document, and implement precise data models
• Optimizing complex queries to fully utilize the performance capabilities of our data warehouse
• Ensuring data and report integrity by implementing quality checks and establishing data model standards
• Enabling data analysts and data scientists to extract maximum value from our data

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• Experience with SQL, columnar databases, and data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, Synapse, or BigQuery)
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with data transformation and orchestration frameworks (e.g.,dbt, Airflow, Luigi, Prefect)
• A deep understanding of dimensional data modeling
