Staff Software Engineer - Detection and Response Platform
Verkada is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and improving the Security Monitoring, Detection, and Response infrastructure.
Skills
- Proficiency in Golang or Python
- Experience in continuous integration and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building scalable products in public clouds (AWS)
- Experience with designing and optimizing ETL pipelines
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve Verkada's Security Monitoring, Detection, and Response infrastructure
- Onboard new systems and services to the SIEM
- Automate data enrichment and incident response workflows
- Facilitate incident response processes and tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with the CISO and security team to enhance the Verkada security program
- Share security experience internally and externally via conferences and blogs
- Assist engineers in growing their security reasoning and knowledge
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree or equivalent
